THE MOST HOLY FATHER
Jesse E. Mercado, the Bishop of Parañaque, freely making his own the request of the Parish Priest of San Nicolas of Tolentino Parish, which is within the boundaries of his Diocese, reverently present the said Parish Community, which will celebrate next year the 25th anniversary of its erection. To render due thanks to God on account of the notable benefits of the erection of the parish, in which undoubtedly the mysteries of the supernatural salvation of man take place, it behooves the Christian faithful to adequately prepare for that anniversary by works of piety, penance and mercy. The most desirable end of these pious exercises, namely the growth in the virtues of faith, hope and charity, manifested in ways in conformity with Gospel Values, will be attained perfectly and more easily if the Christian faithful will be helped through indulgences, which take way even the consequences of sin, which are usually atoned for by temporal punishments. Therefore, His Excellency, the Petitioner, implores your Holiness for this favor for the whole jubilee year from the 10thday of September 2012 to the 10th of September of the following year 2013. And God etc.
On the 21st day of July 2012
The Apostolic Penitentiary, on the mandate of the Supreme Pontiff, freely grants plenary Indulgence under the usual conditions (sacramental confession, Eucharistic Communion and prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff) to Christ’s faithful who are truly penitent if they visit in pilgrimage to the Parish Church of St. Nicolas of Tolentino and devoutly join in the jubilee celebrations as approved by the Diocesan Bishop, or at least spend some time there in pious contemplation concluding with the Lord’s Prayer, recitation of the Creed, and invocations to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Christ’s faithful of the parish who are prevented by old age, sickness, or other grave reason, can equally gain the Plenary Indulgence if in their hearts they detest their sins and intend to fulfill as soon as possible the three usual conditions. They join spiritually the anniversary functions and offer their prayers, sorrows, inconveniences due to their present conditions to the merciful God through Mary most holy.
Moreover, to facilitate the reception of divine pardon through the keys of the Church, this Penitentiary strongly asks that priests with proper faculties for hearing confession, give themselves promptly and generously in hearing confessions in the jubilee church and ministering Holy Communion to the sick.
Effective immediately for the Parish jubilee.Whatever contrary not withstanding.

The Apostolic See requires no payment for the grant of indulgence, which is spiritual and must be treated spiritually. But if the Petitioner wishes to freely give out of generosity some amount of money on the occasion of the granting of the indulgence, the Apostolic See will be grateful since today she is pressed hard by many needs.
