RE: EUCHARISTIC YOUTH MOVEMENT: FESTIVAL OF COMMUNION
Reverend Monsignori and Fathers:
The Eucharistic Youth Movement (EYM) would like to invite the young people of your parishes to participate in the EYM “Festival of Communion” to be held on August 27 to 28, 2017 at Angels’ Hill Retreat and Formation Center in Tagaytay City. The Festival aims help our young people understand the importance as well as the dynamics of being a community. The Festival will have three major conferences: “Why Communion? : God as a Communion of Love” to be given by Bro. Mimo Perez, “The Parish as a Communion of Communities” to be given by Fr. Andy Peter Lubi, and “Communion: Humanity’s Deepest Hunger” to be given by Fr. Roseller Atilano, SJ. There will also be group dynamics and workshops to help our young people acquire skills for community building and strengthening. Of course, there will be Eucharistic celebrations as well as Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and confessions.
An apostolate of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network (the head office of which is directly under the Holy Father), the EYM is not an organization but a mode of formation or a school of prayer that promotes deep friendship with Jesus among young people. The EYM exists not for its own sake, but for the Church, immediately present to us in the parish and in the Diocese. The Festival aims to renew and strengthen our young people’s love for the Church. It is also an opportune time for the EYM to share its Eucharistic spirituality among the youth. It is EYM’s way of serving the Church and its Mission.
The first day of the Festival commences with registration at 8am and ends at 10.30pm. The second day commences at 7.30 a.m. and ends at 2.30pm. Registration fee for the “Festival of Communion” is One Thousand Two Hundred Pesos (P1,200/pax), inclusive of everything. Cost of transportation shall be for the account of the participants. For inquiries, you may contact: Jiesle Paelmao (0919-8923100) or Joy Angeles (0922-8179284).
