TO: ALL PARISH PRIESTS, PARISH ADMINISTRATORS, RECTORS, CHAPLAINS, GUEST PRIESTS, PRIESTS ON LOAN AND RELIGIOUS PRIESTS IN THE DIOCESE OF PARAÑAQUE
RE: SECOND DIOCESAN APOSTOLIC CONGRESS ON MERCY (DACOM 2)
Reverend Monsignori and Fathers:
Greetings in the Divine Mercy!
Three years after the first Diocesan Apostolic Congress on Mercy (DACOM 1), the Divine Mercy Apostolate of the Diocese of Parañaque is once more ready to hold the Second Diocesan Apostolic Congress on Mercy (DACOM 2). As we look forward to the Year of the Clergy, 2018, we are ready to offer a direction to focus on – propagating the Mercy of the Lord. The signs of the times alert us to look with a fresh pair of eyes at the misery that surrounds us. As priests we are daily confronted with the choice of doing the usual or looking at the Face of God and praying that today, let me be YOUR Alter Christus, let me bring YOUR flock to YOUR gates, let me be YOUR agent of MERCY. Lord, let them see in me, YOUR Love in action which is YOUR MERCY.
Let me invite you, Reverend Father, to send your parishioners to DACOM 2 with the theme PRIESTS AND RELIGIOUS: AGENTS OF GOD’S MERCY. This congress will be held at the Mary Immaculate Parish, Nature Church, in Moonwalk Village, Apollo 3 St., Talon 5, Las Piñas City on November 18, 2017 from 7:30 in the morning till 4:00 in the afternoon. Let your parishioners begin to acquaint themselves with the unfathomable Mercy of the Lord by which they can enter their heavenly home. Let your parishioners get into the daily habit of performing a merciful deed by acts, words or prayer. Please send them to this congress and let those small acts, words and prayer multiply to transform the parish. The Mercy of the Lord is our hope. On this we can put our full trust.
It is dearly hoped that you will give this invitation your serious attention.
Pre-registration ends on NOVEMBER 10, 2017. Your parishioners can register with your parish coordinator and paying a minimum fee of PHP50.00 (fifty pesos) to defray the cost of a morning snack. If they fail to pre-register, they can walk-in but bring their own snack. We will provide a menu to those who will pre-order their lunch separately. Further, as the Nature Church conforms to its name, tell your parishioners that they will be seating on tree stumps. To allay discomfort, it will be advisable for them to bring a small cushion to soften the seats.
Sincerely yours in Christ, the Divine Mercy,
REV. FR. CHRISTIAN EMMANUEL GABINETE
Diocesan Spiritual Director
Divine Mercy Apostolate
