RE: POST-EASTER RECOLLECTION and CoSHP ORIENTATION, 14 April 2018 (Saturday)
Dear Monsignori, Fathers, Brothers and Sisters:
Greetings of Joy in the Risen Christ!
We invite you to a Conference on Prayer, a post-Easter recollection with the theme: “Walking Together the Path to Holiness” on April 14, 2018 (Saturday), 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Villonco Hall, Diocesan Center for Evangelization. Facilitating our recollection will be Fr. Ernesto Montuerto, OCD and Ms. Imelda Rasmos, OCDS of St. Elijah of Carith Community of the Secular Order of Descaled Carmelites, Paranaque Chapter.
At the end of the conference, we hope to have a better appreciation of the Teresian contemplative prayer, seek a deeper relationship with God in silence; and develop a firm conviction that out of a life rooted in deep prayer will come forth fruits of good works. A noon mass will conclude our conference.
The CoSHP ORIENTATION shall follow at 2:00 until 5:00 PM at the same venue. We shall commence the Social Action and Leadership Training (SALT) Program designed exclusively for CoSHP members and Coordinators. SALT-1 aims to introduce what CoSHP is, what it does, how and why it does what it does (theological reference); and what are expected from its volunteers. While open to all CoSHP members, newly appointed Coordinators, newly recruited members, and old members who are feeling burnt-out or wish to do more but don’t know how, will find this Orientation useful. The SALT Program intends to provide all CoSHP volunteers a common understanding of our mission, leading us to a more meaningful and cheerful service to the poor. Those attending this afternoon session are strongly encouraged to join the recollection in the morning.
May we request our parish priests to kindly provide for the transportation and food of your CoSHP participants. Thank you.
To Christ with Mary,
Msgr. ALBERT A. VENUS
Rev. Fr. CARMELO O. ESTORES
