Reverend Monsignori and Fathers
Brothers and Sisters in Christ
Greetings of Peace in the Lord!
The Relic of the Incorrupt Heart of St. Camillus de Lellis, which has been travelling around various Philippine dioceses will be brought to the Diocese of Paranaque on Monday, March 25, 2019, Feast of the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary, up to the following day, March 26. The welcome liturgy will be held at St. Andrew’s Cathedral at 12:00 p.m. The Mass will be followed by the celebration of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. On Tuesday, March 26, the farewell liturgy will be held at 12:00 p.m., after which the relic will be brought to its next host community.
In this regard, we are inviting the parishes and various communities within the Diocese of Paranaque to visit and venerate the relic of St. Camillus, who is the Patron Saint of doctors, nurses, and other medical practitioners. The Cathedral church will remain open for the entire duration of the relic’s exposition. We are encouraging especially those who are afflicted by physical illnesses and disabilities to seek the intercession of St. Camillus. Priests will be available to hear confession and administer the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.
We would like to request your reverences, our pastors to promote the devotion to St. Camillus by announcing the event in your Masses this coming Sunday, March 17. Attached herewith is a description of the life and ministry of St. Camillus.
Thank you very much may God continue to bless you.
