RE:      6TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON THE CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING

Dear Monsignori, Fathers, sisters and brothers,

To add depth to our celebration of this year’s pastoral themes for Harmony and Unity both by the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) and by our Bishop Jesse Mercado,  we invite you to join us in our 6th Annual Conference on the Catholic Social Teaching (CST) on March 7th (Sat), 8.00AM to 1.00PM at the Villonco Hall, Diocesan Center for Evangelization. Our resource speaker, the Executive Secretary of CBCP-National Secretariat for Social Action and Justice & Peace, Rev. Fr. Edwin Gariquez, will talk on the topic: “Spirituality of Social Solidarity in the Year of Ecumenism, Inter-religious Dialogue and Indigenous Peoples.  The Conference will commence promptly at 8.30AM.

While this conference is our annual on-going formation program for lay leaders and members of the Commission on Service to Human Promotion (CoSHP), the Catholic doctrines on human dignity and common good are for every Catholic to know and to live by.  Every year since its launch in the Year of the Poor in 2015, certain truths in the social doctrine of the Church which are considered urgent in the context of our annual pastoral theme and/or national situation is chosen as conference topic.

Together with our Caritas Paranaque/CoSHP & its Ministry Coordinators, we look forward to the participation of our parish clergy, diocesan, vicariate & parish Coordinators of all six (6) priority Commissions, and representatives of the Parish Direction-setting & Planning Council, Parish Pastoral Council, & Parish Formation Teams. As diocesan policy, we request our parish priests to take care of the transportation & meals of your representatives.

Looking forward to see you soon,

REV. MSGR. ALBERT VENUS
